Words That Build
"Let your conversation be always full of grace."
— Colossians 4:6
Lord of the Word,
My words have immense power. They can wound or heal, destroy or build, discourage or inspire. Too often, I speak without thinking about the consequences of my words.
Teach me to weigh my words. To speak with intention, with kindness, with truth. May my speech be constructive, may it encourage, uplift, bring light.
Keep me from hurtful words, destructive criticism, hasty judgments, gossip that taints. May every word that comes from my mouth be a gift, not a weapon.
Amen.

Reflection
Before speaking today, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? These three filters can transform your communication.
For those who have been wounded by words and for those who struggle to control their tongue.
