Passing Time
"Teach us to number our days."
— Psalm 90:12
Lord of time,
Time passes, inexorable. Days flow by, the year advances toward its end. This awareness of passing time can be melancholic.
Help me live with this awareness without being paralyzed by it. To appreciate each moment without clinging desperately to it. To accept that everything passes, that nothing remains.
May this awareness of time make me more present. May I live each day fully, not postpone what matters, love while there is still time.
Amen.

Reflection
