Perseverance
"Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
— Hebrews 12:1
Lord of constancy,
Perseverance is not my strong point. I start with enthusiasm but get discouraged quickly. Obstacles make me give up; routine wearies me.
Give me the grace to persevere. To continue when it's difficult, not to abandon at the first obstacle, to keep my commitments to the end.
May I understand that great things are built over time, not in the flash of a moment. May my perseverance be nourished by faith, hope, and love for what I do.
