Commitment
"All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No.'"

Lord of truth,
I tend to say yes too easily, to make commitments I don't always keep, to promise more than I can give. This carelessness in my commitments damages my credibility and my relationships.
Teach me to commit wisely. To think before promising, to honestly evaluate what I can do, to say no when necessary.
But when I say yes, may it be a true yes. A commitment I will keep, one that can be counted on. May my word carry weight, may my promises be reliable. Help me be a person of integrity.
