Balance
"There is a time for everything."
— Ecclesiastes 3:1
Lord of wisdom,
My life is sometimes unbalanced. Too much work and not enough rest, too much care for others and not enough for myself, too much doing and not enough being.
Teach me the art of balance. Not a perfect and rigid scale, but a constant adjustment that respects all aspects of my life. Time for work and for rest, for others and for myself, for action and for contemplation.
Give me the discernment to recognize when I am losing balance and the courage to readjust. May my life be a harmonious dance between all these legitimate needs.
Amen.
