The Simplicity of Christmas
"She gave birth to her firstborn, a son, and laid him in a manger."
— Luke 2:7
God of simplicity,
The first Christmas was extremely simple. A stable, a manger, simple people. No luxury, no comfort, just the essentials.
Help me rediscover this simplicity. Not to be carried away by the consumerist frenzy of Christmas, to refocus on what matters.
May my Christmas be simple. Centered on relationships, on love, on Your presence. Fewer things, more meaning.
Amen.

Reflection
How can you simplify your Christmas? What can you do without to refocus on what matters?
For a simpler and more authentic Christmas.
